Personal clothing including footwear (attire may vary depending on your activities and seasons of the year). Long johns, warm socks, stocking cap, fleece or wool gloves, Gore Tex rain coat, waders and boots are mandatory for fishermen. Please bring backups to store onboard the drift boat in case of an unplanned dip in the river.
Personal Toiletries
It is always a good idea to bring plenty of sunscreen (sp 50 to 70 suggested) and a good strong mosquito repellent. If you don't like the standard repellent with Deet, we suggest you check out Avon's Skin-so-Soft (guys - it does come in non-scented).
Fishing Equipment
If you don't have or don't care to bring fishing equipment, there are several local fly shops that rent equipment. If you plan to bring your own equipment, we suggest the following:
9' - 5 to 7 weight fly rod Reel and line with weight matching the rod Extra leader, various size tippets Waders & wading boots Fly box (you can get flies for the current hatch at the local shops)
Hunting Equipment and Bows/Firearms
Our only State requirement for archery is that your broadhead must have at least a 7/8" cutting diameter and your muzzleloader much be greater than .45 caliber. We do suggest both cool weather and warm weather clothes. You will be hunting at elevations of 5,000ft to 9,000ft and the weather in Montana changes rapidly - don't be caught off guard. Always pack more than you need.
